Dr. Steven Gorman Achieves Accredited Status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry® April 2009 - North Oaks, MN - Dr. Steven Gorman, of North Oaks, Minnesota, has achieved Accredited status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He joins eight AACD Accredited members in the state of Minnesota, and 320 dentists and laboratory technicians in AACD history who have earned this prestigious designation. The highly sought Accreditation credential represents the standard of excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Steven Gorman was awarded this status through the demonstration of advanced skills and knowledge. He was recognized at the organization's 25th Anniversary AACD Scientific Session, held in Honolulu, Hawaii, April 27 - Friday, May 1, 2009.

"I am honored to become an Accredited member of the AACD. Through the challenges of the program, I have learned the keys to providing my patients with exceptional cosmetic dental services," said Dr. Steven Gorman.

Through the AACD’s Accreditation program for dentists and laboratory technicians, AACD members must undergo a three-part process consisting of a written examination, submission of clinical cases for evaluation, and an oral examination. Each individual must also attend a series of workshops as part of the program. While each part must be competed in sequence, individuals pursuing Accreditation have up to five years to complete the program after successfully completing the written examination.
