Comprehensive Dentistry Approach

In-depth planning:

As with a beautiful home, a detailed blueprint comes first, followed by construction and finally interior design. A comprehensive dentistry plan guarantees the marriage of functionality and design, because as every good architect intrinsically knows neither can take a backseat to the other. And so it is with great cosmetic dentistry. A comprehensive planning process is key to a great looking smile to guarantee that it will not just look good, but also feel good and last a long, long time.  This could require as little as whitening your teeth all the way to full mouth rehabilitation.

Dr. Gorman takes the time and has the expertise to create a comprehensive plan that takes into consideration both the health and functionality of our clients’ smile, its current aesthetic appeal, and how they would like their smile to look. This process entails working closely with our on-site lab, listening to their wants, assessing needs, and partnering with them in a consulting fashion to reach their goals.

Once we have a plan we can help the client see the many options cosmetic comprehensive dentistry offers.  One is to show them completed cases of other clients who had similar desires.  The cosmetic dentist should also offer computer-enhanced digital imaging of the proposed changes so that the patient has an idea of the end result, and a three-dimensional model of the patient’s teeth is also mocked up. The patient also has input into the tooth shapes, sizes and color.  Wearing a prototype of the final restorations during the treatment phase enables the patient to make any changes right up until the time of final placement.

General Dentistry

A Team Approach:

Internally all general dentistry staff members have been cross-trained and strive to accurately assess client wants and needs. This on-going post-graduate training fosters an inter-office attitude of service geared toward understanding and supporting the goals of each client.   A computer based internal communications system is adeptly used by all staff persons. Chair-side computer monitors allow each team member immediate access to all client records allowing for convenient and error-free scheduling, posting and charting as you sit in comfort.

Years of post-graduate training has given Dr. Gorman the direct experience to comprehensively plan and track all facets of treatment necessary be it periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, TMD or Occlusal therapy.  Externally Dr. Gorman has developed a team of professionals that he works with closely when a treatment plan calls for specialty care. The internal general dentistry staff team approach is specifically designed to keep you up-to-the-moment with all communications concerning your treatment plan. And you are taken through the entire process, step-by-step-both within and without the office.   For example, an implant is actually placed by a periodontist or oral surgeon according to Dr Gorman's prescription for positioning. Dr. Gorman then follows with the reconstructive dentistry for tooth replacement.
