Gone are the days of always having to send your case to the laboratory and wait 2-3 weeks for a return visit to place your restoration after its fabrication in the lab. Today, in the majority of cases we can create crowns, onlays, CEREC veneers, and other porcelain bonded restorations in a single visit with the aid of the CEREC Dentistry 3D restoration system.
CEREC Veneers
CEREC dentistry utilizes CAD-Cam (Computer aided design – computer aided manufacturing) to fabricate your restoration right in the office. Digital images are taken of your prepared teeth (instead of impressions) and a virtual model of the tooth is created in the computer. The design software allows us to create the restoration to fit the model and then be manufactured from a solid block of porcelain in our onsite milling machine (you can even watch it being made). We then fit, finish and place it for you - all completed in one visit!

A CEREC tooth restoration isn't just convenient, it is also healthy. Many years ago, we had few options to repair decayed and damaged teeth other than amalgam (mercury metal fillings), gold, or other metals. With CEREC 3D, we use strong, tooth colored ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function. These materials closely match the composition of natural tooth structure. In addition, the materials are chemically bonded to your tooth, allowing us to save as much natural tooth structure as possible, while providing you with a restoration that strengthens your tooth.
